The exhibition, Young Creative Poland: 4 Years On was a continuation of a project started in 2009. The diverse range of disciplines incorporated into the show was testament to the variation and the bold and exciting approaches that are shaping current Polish design. Within this, many designers have created their own collections, produced them and, in some cases, even distributed their own products while others have authored pieces for national and international companies, adding their signatures to some of the world’s most renowned manufacturers.

Young Creative Poland: 4 Years On was hosted in the recently renovated Ognisko Polskie (Polish Hearth Club) establishing an interesting relationship with an important Polish organisation in the UK. In an accompanying pop-up shop run by Art Yard Sale, visitors could buy posters, illustrations, books and designs by some of Poland’s most venerable young artists and designers.

REVIEWS

The importance of supporting new designers cannot be underestimated and here the results speak for themselves.

— Katie Treggiden, Editor, Design Milk

In 2009, Brompton hosted the first Young Creative Poland exhibition so we are thrilled the project is returning this year. It is great to see the spirit of exploration and creativity flourish and substantial designers emerging.

— Jane Withers, Design Consultant and Curator

Thank you very much for the opportunity to participate in such a meticulously curated show. Of the entire London festival it stood out thanks to the exhibition arrangement and the unique spirit. Thanks to your help we met many people and made new – hopefully fruitful – professional contacts. What you do is really important to us young designers. It was a great pleasure and we are sincerely grateful.

— Katarzyna Jakubowska and Tomasz Orzechowski, designers, To Do Product Design

I wanted to write this to you a while ago how much I appreciate your work, (…) what you did in Ognisko went beyond my expectations… The exhibition was fabulous… Everything was so carefully organised all the way through, and you really deserve congratulation and gratitude.
